WHY DONATE TO YM?

American Muslim youth are experiencing a crisis of faith. Our recent Muslim Youth Issues surveys have shown that 41% of Muslim youth meet the cutoff of experiencing a significant number of depressive symptoms and that 7 in 10 Muslim youth have felt judged or shamed by another Muslim in a Muslim space. We recognize the struggles that Muslim American youth endure because we had to go through them too. For over 25 years, Young Muslims is run for the youth, by the youh to combat these issues by providing Muslim youth with a network of communities for them to establish lifelong relationships. We build dedication in the youth to give back to the community and mentor that dedication by providing our Leadership with training, resources, a network of connections, and growth opportunities for their skillset.

Alhamdulillah in the past year, YM Sisters was able to grow exponentially and establish many new projects:

  • 100+ NeighborNets across the nation.

  • 400+ leadership.

  • Held 1st Murabbi Training Conference.

  • Trained 8 new Murabbiyaat to lead Regional Study Circles.

  • Established our 2nd and 3rd National Study Circles with over 30 attendees (including many of our beloved alumnae!).

  • Established 5 new Regional Study Circles with over 40 attendees.

  • Launched YM Sisters Merch Shop.

  • Released 2 Muslim Youth Issues reports (Addressing Pornography and Mental Health Issues),

  • Collaborated on a national level with American Muslims for Palestine, Khalil Center, Yaqeen Institute, USCMO (United States Council of Muslim Organizations), MAS Youth, OakTree, Family Youth Institute, and American Muslim Health Professionals, among many local collaborations with other organizations.

  • Established long-term partnerships with Yaqeen Institute, Khalil Center, Islamic Learning Foundation, USCMO, American Muslim Health Professionals, American Muslims for Palestine, and OakTree Institute.

As we move forward into the year, your generous contributions will be used to fund our 55+ NeighborNets and NeighborNets that we add throughout the year, regional events, and National projects - including our annual leadership training conference (YMLC), annual Young Muslims Convention at ICNA, annual Murrabi Training Conferences, Tarbiyyah Seminars, National & Regional Study Circles, networking events with Alumnae, and much more.

Now, more than ever, we need your help to fulfill our mission and vision; seeking the pleasure of Allah (SWT) by empowering God-conscious Muslim American youth that collectively contribute to the betterment of society with a firm understanding of their Muslim identity through companionship, mentorship, education, and service. Muslim American youth are dependent on donors like you to support us, and to help us overcome anything in their paths.
